Advice first, technology second
Fundacja Pozytywni CO₂ is not a sales company – we are independent advisors who also deliver complete projects. We do not push any single technology or brand. First we examine your building and listen to how you live in it; only then do we recommend the solution that truly fits. Below, every service is explained in plain language: what it is, when it makes sense, and what we actually do for you.
Heat pumps with installation
What it is: a heat pump does not burn anything – it moves free heat from the outside air or the ground into your building. For every 1 kWh of electricity it uses, it typically delivers 3–4 kWh of heat. That is why it is currently the most efficient way to heat a well-insulated home.
When it makes sense: in buildings with reasonable insulation and low-temperature heat distribution (underfloor heating or large radiators). In a poorly insulated house, we will tell you honestly: insulate first, then install the heat pump – otherwise it will run at full power all winter and your bills will disappoint you.
What we do: help you choose the right type (air-to-water, air-to-air or ground source), size it correctly for your building's real heat loss – not for the largest possible sale – handle the subsidy paperwork, and supervise the installation from start to finish.
Energy audits
What it is: a detailed examination of your building by a certified auditor that shows exactly where heat – and money – escapes. You receive a formal report with calculated savings for each possible improvement.
When you need one: an audit is a formal requirement for most subsidy programmes, including Clean Air. But even without subsidies, it is the smartest first step: it turns "I think the house is cold" into precise numbers – which wall loses the most, what a new boiler would save, what insulation would save, and in what order to invest.
What we do: our certified auditors have completed over 800 audits for homes, businesses and public buildings. We prepare the full documentation package and use it directly in your funding application, so nothing has to be done twice.
Photovoltaics
What it is: rooftop solar panels that convert sunlight into free electricity for decades. A typical home installation covers a large part of a family's yearly electricity consumption.
When it makes sense: when your roof is unshaded and you consume electricity during the day – or when you pair the installation with a heat pump or energy storage to use more of your own power. We design each installation around your real consumption profile, not around the largest possible sale; an oversized installation on a bad roof is money buried in the garden.
What we do: design the system, select proven components, handle the grid connection paperwork from start to finish, and help you claim the My Electricity subsidy where applicable.
Energy storage
What it is: a battery that stores the solar energy you produce during the day so you can use it in the evening, when electricity is most expensive – and keeps essential devices running during a power outage.
When it makes sense: when you already have – or are planning – photovoltaics and your consumption happens mostly outside daylight hours. It is also the key to getting the most out of the My Electricity 6.0 programme.
What we do: we analyse your consumption data and tell you honestly whether storage pays off in your specific case. Sometimes the answer is no – and we would rather keep your trust than make a sale. When the answer is yes, we size, install and connect the system and prepare the subsidy application.
Home & attic insulation
What it is: adding modern insulation to the roof, walls and floor of your building. Up to 40% of your heating bill can leak through an uninsulated envelope – you are literally heating the sky.
When it makes sense: almost always, and usually first. Insulation is the cheapest and fastest way to cut heating costs, it makes any future heat pump smaller and cheaper, and it is heavily subsidised under the Clean Air programme.
What we do: assess the current state of your building, plan the right thickness and material for each surface, help you choose a reliable contractor, and supervise the whole job – because badly installed insulation can cause moisture damage that costs far more than it saves.
Wood gasifying boilers
What it is: a modern boiler that burns wood in two stages – first it turns the wood into gas, then burns that gas at high temperature so completely that it meets the strictest emission standards. It is a world away from an old coal or wood stove.
When it makes sense: in the forested regions of south-eastern Poland, wood is one of the cheapest fuels available – often the cheapest of all. If you have access to seasoned wood and want independence from gas and electricity prices, a gasifying boiler is a serious option. It requires a dry storage space and some handling of fuel.
What we do: advise whether wood heating fits your property and lifestyle, help you choose a certified boiler that qualifies for the My Heat programme, and supervise the installation, chimney and buffer tank.
Pellet boilers
What it is: automatic heating with a renewable fuel. The boiler feeds itself from a pellet hopper, cleans its own heat exchanger and can be controlled from your phone – a practical “set and forget” solution.
When it makes sense: when you want to replace a coal boiler with something clean and comfortable, but a heat pump is not the best fit – for example in a poorly insulated building, where the heat demand is high, or where you prefer familiar radiator heating. Pellet is more expensive than logs but far cheaper and cleaner than coal or gas in most recent seasons.
What we do: calculate your expected fuel costs honestly, help you choose a boiler and hopper size that fits your boiler room, and handle the subsidy application under My Heat or Clean Air.
Windows and doors
What it is: replacement of old, leaky windows and doors with modern triple-glazed products. Old windows can be responsible for 25–30% of a building's heat loss – and the draughts you feel on a windy day are your heated air escaping.
When it makes sense: when windows are visibly old, single-glazed, or when rooms feel cold even though the boiler works hard. Modern windows also cut outside noise and eliminate the condensation that causes mould.
What we do: assess your current windows, explain the real difference between offers (glass packages, frames, installation quality – the installation matters as much as the window), and in our Rzeszów showroom you can open, close and compare products before you decide. Window replacement is also co-financed under Clean Air.
Air conditioning & heat recovery
What it is: two related technologies. A heat recovery ventilation unit exchanges stale indoor air for fresh outdoor air while keeping 80–90% of the heat – fresh air without throwing energy out of the window. Air conditioning provides summer cooling, and modern units double as heating in spring and autumn.
When it makes sense: heat recovery is essential in tightly insulated, sealed buildings – without it, humidity and CO₂ build up and windows get opened, wasting the heat you paid for. Air conditioning matters increasingly in Polish summers, and a reversible unit can cheaply extend the heating season.
What we do: design the ventilation layout for your building, size the unit correctly, and explain the maintenance honestly – filters need changing, and a badly maintained unit is worse than none.
Green energy for businesses
What it is: complete energy-efficiency projects for companies, municipalities and public institutions – from a single audit to a full thermomodernization with renewable installations.
What a business project includes: an energy audit of the building or process, photovoltaics sized to your consumption, heat pumps or modern boiler replacement, LED lighting, thermomodernization of the envelope – and, crucially, applications for business subsidy programmes and regional funds. We have over 12 years of experience writing EU and national funding applications, and we write them for you.
Why it matters: for a company, energy efficiency is not ideology – it is margin. Every kilowatt-hour you do not buy is profit that goes straight to the bottom line, every year, permanently. And with current EU and regional funds, a large part of the investment can be covered.
How we work – step by step
Every project with us follows the same transparent path, whether it is a single-family home or a large public building.
1
Free consultation
Call us or visit the showroom. We listen to your situation, explain the realistic options and tell you honestly what makes sense – and what does not.
2
Energy audit
A certified auditor examines your building and calculates where heat and money are lost. The audit defines the improvements and is required for most subsidies.
3
Funding application
We prepare the complete subsidy application for you, attach the audit and all required documents, and follow it through to the funding decision.
4
Delivery & supervision
Once funding is granted, we help you choose equipment and contractors, supervise the installation and support you until the project is finished.
Not sure which service fits your building? That is exactly what the free consultation is for.
